If there were a Disneyland for all things bagel, Huff Bagelry would be it. From choc-chip to blueberry to pizza to poppyseed – Huff Bagelry has you covered.
The bagels here (sans spreads or fillings) are the most affordable I’ve come across so far in Melbourne. The normal sized ones are around $1.20 – $1.30 each and their mini bagels are only $0.60! However, they do have a minimum eftpos of $10 so unless you’re up for buying a bunch then bring some cash.
They’re baked fresh and can be kept up to 24 hours after purchase or longer if you freeze them in an air-tight ziplock bag. If you choose to do the latter, make sure to halve it first before freezing it.
Even when they’re busy, there’s never really much of a wait to be served – in fact, I’m usually asked what I want before I’ve even decided.
In terms of taste, the bagels are always good regardless of which one you get. However, they can be a little bit inconsistent in size. The blueberry bagel they served me when we ate in was rather flat and didn’t have as much of a bite to it, though the next time I went it was slightly thicker.
Another thing I really like about Huff Bagelry is that the amount of peanut butter they give is plentiful 🙂 I have yet to try their other bagel fillings but will be making plans to in the future!
The coffee I ordered wasn’t outstanding, which is a shame because I always get a coffee to go with my bagel and I’m the kind of person who is willing to go to two different places if I have to, if it means getting a better cup of joe.
If you are hungry for bagels though, do stop by Huff Bagelry and get your fix! Let me know in the comments what your favourite bagel and fillings are 😛
