I did pretty well this year in holding out for the June end of financial year sales, and as a result, I kind of went nuts on a spending spree. It also doesn’t help my state of mind knowing that I’ll be submitting my tax return soon 😛 I thought I would share some of my favourite finds from my EOFY haul – would also love to see what you got too so leave me a link down below and I’ll check out your blog!
Chloé Signature Eau de Toilette
I have had my eyes on this ever since smelling this months ago at the airport. It’s a very light, feminine, subtly floral and sweet scent and what I love the most about it is that it’s more of a mature scent compared to the perfumes I currently own. I haven’t purchased a new perfume in over a year and most of the scents I use I’ve had for years – many of which are more youthful and sweeter. I thought it was time to add some variety into my collection!
The first place I checked was Myer, which only had Chloé Signature on its own as they stopped making the gift packs some time ago. The 75ml was $180 so I walked away haha 🙂 The next day Seb and I went to the shopping outlet in Uni Hill and found this three-piece gift pack in Cosmetics Fragrance Direct, which sells discounted perfumes and beauty products.
This Chloé Signature Eau de Toilette Gift Set was down to $119 and includes:
- Chloé Eau de Toilette 75ml
- Chloé Eau de Toilette 5ml
- Perfumed Body Lotion 100ml
- Box

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Achiote & Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia
I felt like spoiling myself a little bit so I made my first ever purchase at Sephora! I usually go to Mecca as Sephora wasn’t around the last time I bought a non-drugstore beauty product. However, Sephora had 20% off sale items and I scored this peachy-coloured Tarte blush for $24. There was a Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Plummy Rose that was on sale for $15 that I really wanted to get but they were all sold out! Thankfully the next day I found a similar and much cheaper alternative – Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia. I think these are perfect for when you want some colour but without the boldness of a lipstick. As much as I love lippies, I always feel like I need a special occasion to wear them.

When I swatched it in store, the blush seemed fairly buildable and it was still pigmented enough to be noticeable even with a lighter swatch. I’m excited to try it and see if it really does last for 12 hours.
Country Road Earrings
I recently threw out over 50% of my jewellery because the majority of it was purchased during my teenage years and were either not something I’d wear now, or they were starting to rust. I usually only buy cheap costume jewellery because I get worried about losing or breaking anything more expensive.
On the weekend I ended up getting a blouse from Country Road and on the way out of the fitting rooms, these earrings caught my eye. I tend to opt for gold or rose gold tones and was looking for something more interesting than studs but not dangly earrings. I figured what the hell, they’re 20% off and picked these ones up 😛
Hey Bae Bae Pocket Guess T-Shirt
I thought this was a cute tee even though I don’t really use the word “bae”. Myer was having an extra 50% off sale items so I managed to snatch up this Guess t-shirt for less than $20. It’s just a loose-fitted tee with a slightly oversized pocket. You’d think that buying a simple t-shirt is pretty straightforward but there are actually so many different cuts and ways that different t-shirts can hang on your body or sit on or off your shoulder line – to me, this can make a simple shirt that much better.
One Tru Luv PJ Tee
I saw this and immediately thought “OMG that is me on a t-shirt, right there!” There’s something about relatable t-shirts – even though I really do not need more of them, they always just get me and I feel the need to become its owner. But whatever, it’s cute 😛
I would love to see what items you picked up in the mid-year sales! Let me know in the comments or link me to your blog and I’ll check it out 🙂
